About The Director

 

Brad Shores started teaching in 1986 in Phoenix where he was a strings teacher in the Paradise Valley District. In 1989, he moved to Nickerson, KS and taught band at Nickerson High School until 2000 when he moved to Haven. He is best known for his steel drum group "Tropical Shores Steel Drum Band" and has written many pieces for steel drum groups. He was the founder and director the indoor percussion group "Rebel Drums" and started the first High School Steel drum band in Kansas. He and his wife Linda have three children.
